DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING
The Director of Programming is responsible for all MWC programs being completed successfully, bringing the highest possible value to the organization and community participants. The Director of Programming will create programmatic objectives in consultation with the Co-Executive Directors and will ensure programmatic objectives are met and implemented by program staff. To do so, together with our team, they will prepare, plan and implement program initiatives and monitor their progress to completion.
This position is also responsible for the daily supervision of program staff and requires the Director of Programming to build and maintain effective interpersonal and team relationships, throughout the agency. The Director of Programming will be invested in staff development and will work closely with staff to support their existing competencies, and skills, help to hone their strengths and develop new skills. This position constructively leads the team spirit and considers MWC’s mission and values in developing and maintaining team relationships, internally and externally. As part of their leadership, the Director of Programing will need to develop deep knowledge of the issues of the Water City Agenda, intersections of environmental justice, core programing, partnerships, and subsequent work plans for each area.
ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER
We are looking for a detail oriented person to keep our office and tracking systems running smoothly and efficiently. We are a small organization with less than ten people and are committed to building an anti-racist environmental organization on behalf of both people and our water. We are committed to creating an inclusive culture where all of our staff feel welcomed & valued.
This position is responsible for the internal administrative management of MWC and will manage over-all daily office operations. This role requires the ability to provide a wide range of administrative and office support activities, including overseeing office expenditures, tracking of receipts, creation and maintenance of systems and procedures. The Administrative Manger ensures that record keeping and systems are in place and prepares tracking documents as needed. This position includes event planning and providing administrative support including logistics across MWC program team and especially to the Co-Executive Directors. The Administrative Manager is an integral member of our team, engaged across programs and projects, ensuring MWC is operating securely, efficiently and effectively.
WATER CITY PROGRAM MANAGER
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate abilities to guide environmental changes on behalf of people and planet. This position will be focused on coordinating the Milwaukee Environmental Justice Roundtable and assist in implementing community engagement practices across all MWC projects. Skills in strategic management, coalition building, and community outreach are needed to be a successful candidate for this position. As part of their leadership, the Water City Program Coordinator will need to develop knowledge of the issues of the Water City Agenda, intersections of environmental justice and, partnerships. We are a small organization with less than ten people and our committed to building an anti-racist environmental organization on behalf of both people and planet.
